I'm Shafiqa — a property manager with White House Estate Agents in Auburn, looking after rental homes across Sydney's inner west. I treat every property like it's my own and every tenant like a person, which is exactly why my vacancies are short and my tenants tend to stay.

Proudly part of the White House Estate Agents team in Auburn — looking after rental homes across Sydney's inner west. I look after rental homes day to day — leasing them to the right tenants, keeping them tenanted, and managing them so the owner barely has to think about it.

Auburn, Lidcombe and Chester Hill are my home patch, and I work across the rest of the inner west from there. I treat every property like it's my own and every tenant like a person — which is exactly why my vacancies stay short and my tenants tend to stay. And I reply within a day, most evenings included.

We can do this in the language your family actually speaks.

Auburn is one of Sydney's most multicultural suburbs, and renting or letting a property is a big deal for most families. It shouldn't have to happen in your second language.

I'm happy to talk in English, Dari or Farsi — so the lease, the condition report and the worried questions can all happen in the words you're most comfortable in, and nothing gets lost on the way.

Where are you based, and who do I actually deal with?

I'm a property manager with White House Estate Agents, working across Sydney's inner west from the Auburn office. When you ring, you get me — not a call centre — and I reply within a day, most evenings included.

What makes you different from other property managers?

I treat your property like it's my own and your tenant like a person — which is exactly why my vacancies are short and my tenants tend to stay. I'd rather tell you the truth about the rent or a repair than keep you comfortable with a number I can't stand behind.

Why does it matter that you speak more than one language?

Renting or letting a property is a big deal for most families, and it shouldn't have to happen in your second language. Being able to talk through the lease, the condition report and the worried questions in Dari or Farsi as well as English means nothing gets lost in translation.

How many properties do you manage?

I currently look after a sizeable portfolio across the inner west — managing a good number as the lead manager and supporting many more alongside the team. Enough to know the area's rental market street by street, and few enough that you're never just a number.

Do you only manage in your core suburbs?

Auburn, Lidcombe and Chester Hill are my home patch and where I know the rental market best, but the inner west is one connected area and I work across all of it. If you're just outside it, ring me anyway — if I'm not the right fit I'll point you to someone who is.
